Art et al. strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with a range of disabilities and access requirements.

The team has invested resources to help ensure that the website is made easier to use and more accessible for people who self-identify with disabilities and/or others with access requirements, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

Transcriptions are available for the recorded discussions and films are subtitled. BSL (British sign language) is used across the website, and Auslan (Australian sign language) will be added in due course. Alternative text for images will be added.

 

Accessibility features of this website

artetal.org makes available:

  • ‘U Access’ Accessibility Widget

  • Resizable text

  • Compatibility with screen-readers

  • Ensuring that all new information on the website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

  • Including accessibility when we procure 3rd-party systems or upgrades to existing systems

After pressing for the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety. There are many options to choose when this menu loads, including font size, font colour, and button highlighting.
