Bobby Kyriakopoulos

Bobby Kyriakopoulos (b. 1990, Melbourne) is a figurative artist whose practice focuses on painting and drawing. He meticulously applies watercolour and gouache to paper, depicting nostalgic film scenes, including street corners or quirky portraits. His highly gestural work captures interesting moments, freezing the characters in time. The interplay of positive and negative space in his work is effortless—balanced yet comfortably unbalanced. Kyriakopoulos has worked at Arts Project since 2011. He presented his first solo show in Melbourne in 2019, and has been included in numerous group exhibitions. His work is held in private collections in Australia.
