Minty Visions

Minty Visions is an online project and exhibition curated by Australian artist Eden Menta, in collaboration with UK and Europe-based curator Stella Sideli.

Platforming the work of nine Australian and UK based artists, the exhibition approaches themes related to queerness and disability in different ways. Especially focusing on the invisibility of certain diff-abilities within the queer community, and ideas of safety, community, validation and representation, the project includes text, collage, watercolour and interactive, collective drawing works. Playfully and ironically exploring the intersection between disability and queerness, Minty Visions creates a space to reflect and imagine, to come and create together across the world, after a long time in isolation.

Presented as part of the UK/Australia Season 2021-22, a major programme of cultural exchange taking place across the two nations, Minty Visions is the first culmination of Art et al.’s mentoring initiative supported by Arts Project Australia and funded by the British Council and Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Art Puke

Art Puke is an interactive and collaborative drawing project conceived by Eden Menta. Please read the engagement guidelines before participating.

Engagement Guidelines

  • To start drawing, first, click the “new layer” icon to the middle right of the page. It looks like a white sheet of paper.

  • You can then participate by zooming in on the panel and drawing.

  • You can draw in relation to other people’s work, or draw your own.

  • Do not deface or cover the work of others. You can add and collaborate.

  • Do not write or draw anything that might offend and discriminate between genders, sexualities, abilities, cultures and nationalities. Understand this a space created by and for queer people with disabilities.
